Today I give thanks for Spike, whose presence has allowed me to have both my parents and my in laws over for Thanksgiving dinner without crying or having to eat a few xanax. This is unprecedented.

Ha! Kind of amazing how that works. The parents and in-laws don’t have the time or energy to criticize you because they’re too busy cooing over the baby. I think it’s one of the best parts about having kids.
