National Novel Writing Month!
It’s not too late to participate in NaNoWriMo 2005. I just signed up. If you don’t finish, you can always justify it by saying you started late. Who’s with me?

I don’t want to sign up to NaNoWriMo. I’ll do it for SalNorOhReal. Have you started?

No, I haven’t started. I kind of think maybe I’m not going to. I wish I’d remembered before so I could’ve at least thought about it a little. Maybe I will declare December SalNorOhRealWriMo instead, and instead of a novel I will write a screenplay. I already have three pages.

Can I write a novella?
I’ve got an idea: Assign us all a joint topic. I suggest . . . that song by Bob Seger you like so much. READY, GO!!

how the fuck do you write a novel in a month?

OOH! “night moves”? i once drove around teh delta in a red VW bug with a drunk middle aged lady singing that song to the night and then, after each line, turning to me to ‘explain’ the deep nostalgic meaning.
maybe i could spin that into a Novella…or at least a chapter.

I was going to jump on the bandwagon, too. Then I realized I can’t manage to get my laundry done much less write a novel. I figured out that if you’d started two days ago you’d have to write at least 10 pages per day to get done in time.
Maybe next time.
