Pernice + Gilmore = Love.
Dear Gilmore Girls,
Even though you broke my heart with your horrible season finale cliffhanger, I love that not only did Miss Patti utter a line about how she doesn’t pay attention to what people are saying a lot of the time because she’s thinking about Barishnikov (!), but Joe Pernice was a guest star! As a wannabe town troubadour! And he sang “Amazing Glow,” which is a fucking awesome song!
It makes up for what Lorelai did. Really. And for how you have turned me against Luke this season, but somehow have me rooting for Logan. Logan! Horrible Logan! I sort of love him now and wish Larry would start calling me “Ace”! I do not pretend to understand the power you hold over me, Gilmore Girls. I love you so.
Love,
Sally “Lorelai Forever” Nordan
P.S. Did you watch American Idol? What is wrong with me that I liked it when Taylor sang “In the Ghetto”? Am I losing my edge. my carefully constructed pseudocynical edge that is merely for show because in reality I am bursting with sincerity and positivity?

I saw the Chloe (Rasklub from 24) as a troubadour clip on You Tube. How were Sonic Youth?

I’m totally with you on changing my mind about Logan and Luke! It is like they’ve have a Freaky Friday body switch. Lorelai, I don’t even know you anymore. I love the subversive pop culture references the Gilmores always have, even though some are made up. One time, Kirk was talking about a website called “Celebrities Who Share Your Disease dot com”, and the next day I tried to find it. It doesn’t exist.

I heart the use of the term “pseudocynical.” And, you are losing yr edge, because Taylor the Muppet was terrible, absolutely terrible!!

I just…is Taylor allowed to sing that song? It was SO WEIRD. (I even think it’s weird when Elvis sings it.) Plus the fact that everyone seemed to agree that it was HIS song, the perfect one for him.

At first I questioned Taylor’s choice, but you know, white people live in ghettos, too. I think I read that somewhere.
Ramona, in real life, I think Kirk would be your soulmate.
