Dancing with Ted’s Teeth.
I’m going to Dallas for a long weekend (Thurs-Tues), and my flight leaves at 6:45, but look: I still managed to post my recap of Dancing with the Stars. Do you know what that’s called? Devotion. (more…)

So last week we got good news in the Nordan-Ferrari household: Larry had his annual review at work and it went very well. (more…)
So Wednesday night was the Rogue Wave show. I made broad proclamations that I was going to go, and then around 8:00 I decided there was no way I was going. (It was once determined that if I were a superhero, my name would be The Canceller — only you pronounce it cancellah.) I put on my pajama pants and settled in to watch Celebrity Charades. Then at 8:30, the phone rang, and it was Gram, and they were in town and headed to Jaxxie’s for dinner, and I could not say hey dude, I’m completely ditching you so I said instead cool man, I’ll see you over there. To celebrate Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ recent engagement, Larry and I went to see Batman Begins on Saturday. (more…)

“Wallace Miller testified at the ‘67 trial about that back-room meeting in which he said Killen shared the details of the plot to kill the civil rights workers, including that he had gotten together the Klansmen who carried out the killings.”
I’m not going to devote a lot of space to the boring spectacle that is Hit Me Baby One More Time, but for the second week in a row the most horrible of the performers has won. (more…)
Because I take television very seriously, and television involving b-list celebrities ballroom dancing even more seriously, I took notes while watching Dancing with the Stars last night. (more…)
I haven’t been reading much the past week or so, but I am slowly getting through Lorrie Moore’s Birds of America. Each story is filled with such awesome, precise, and funny details that I am savoring it. (more…)
