Welcome, Floon Twins!

Written by sally @ 10:43 am — Section: sally

So my best friend had a couple of babies this morning.

Philip Connor Floon and Daniel Pate Floon were born this morning at 2:45 and weigh together much less than Pete does. But they’re fine, although early, and are almost able to breathe on their own. Mrs. Floon is drugged up and slurry and weird, but her husband is cracking jokes (he is a comic genius if you are quiet enough to hear him mutter under his breath) and is entertaining the nurses.

They’ve been in the hospital for a week trying to make those babies stay in there, but this morning they were ready to see the world. Mr. Floon reported that they were squawking and cutting up from the get-go, and that Daniel must be the bad one that has been kicking Mrs. Floon in the rectum for the past two months because he has a really big calf muscle.

Welcome, bad and healthy Floons! I can’t wait to tell you all kinds of things, like how lucky you are that you have Mrs. Floon for a mom because you will have the most elaborately decorated brithday cakes and contributions for the school bake sales and also because she thinks of everything. And how lucky you are to have Mr. Floon for a dad because he is hands down the funniest person I know and will make you a craftsman-style bungalow treehouse complete with built-in cabinets and period doorknobs from his giant doorknob collection. Also, because when he does something really dumb and would like to point this out, he says, I eat my own doo doo. Ok, that’s funny. You’ll probably think so, too. If you don’t, I will spank you.
